Mateo Ianotti - Day in the Life

The Mateo Ianotti Story

Mateo was born in Ecuador and emigrated to Miami at just 8 years old when his family encountered political issues with the government. After losing everything, his four person family moved to Miami with just $6,000 to their name.

During this time, Mateo's father worked as a box boy in a local warehouse. He eventually rented out some pallet space and brought in his first order of imported goods from China. This moment came to be the inception of MITTI Corp. Mateo's fathers company which specializes in the importation/exportation of friction material products to Latin America.

Humble Beginning.
Ambitious Future.

TacomaBeast manifested itself as a passion Mateo had for his very own Toyota Tacoma. Unlike many entrepreneurs, Mateo never contemplated the idea of his passion one day becoming his business. Disliking the idea of Mateo getting a car at such a young age (17 years old), Mateo's family tried leading him astray of purchasing his Tacoma in hopes he wouldn't get himself into debt.

With his friends constantly encouraged him to buy a Jeep instead, Mateo purchased his Tacoma and slowly began modifying his truck into what it is today. It was during this process of looking for truck customization inspiration where Mateo signed up on Instagram and created TacomaBeast- a page dedicated to all things Tacoma.

His ultimate goal was to create a close-knit community where his fans could get inspired and share their appreciation for the Toyota Tacoma, hence his company motto: "Get Inspired, Share Your Builds".

Initial Product & Market Expansion

"You have to have a vision.

It is an absolute must to have a goal in mind- a destination of some sort. It's what has allowed me to retain my focus and drive over the last few years of building TacomaBeast."

- Mateo Ianotti -

Mateo made a bet with himself. If he were to reach 10,000 followers on Instagram, he would test the waters for a possible business opportunity. The official, first TacomaBeast product was their original decal which sold out of its first production within one week. This light proof of concept appealed to Mateo and motivated him to begin offering apparel and eventually high performance parts and accessories.

Today, TacomaBeast offers off-road armor, headlights/tail lights, skid plates, sliders, light kits, sound systems, and many other products. Although the journey has been riddled with obstacles, persistence and dedication has fueled Mateo to continue to scale and grow the brand.

"The biggest fundamental issue I had when trying to grow the company was finding the time to tackle a new project on top of an already busy schedule. It proved to be nothing short of challenging. At the time I started TacomaBeast, I was studying for my bachelor's in finance while simultaneously working for Mitti Corp. I would clock out of work at 8:00pm and work on TacomaBeast until midnight.

Another issue was coming up with the capital for a facility to house our aftermarket truck parts and manage payroll. With patience, we were able to save and buy bigger MOQ's in order to increase our profit margins and hire the right employees for expansion."

2018 And The Future

2018 was a phenomenal year for Mateo. Multiple events across the United States with thousands of attendees at every event have catapulted the TacomaBeast brand into the fast lane for growth. Mateo has dedicated his every ounce of drive into building and scaling the brand daily. The fruits of his labor are now coming to fruition as we cross over into 2019.

With even more events planned throughout the new year, Mateo plans on expanding without limits through marketing strategies based around remaining as authentic and transparent as possible to best connect with his brand followers. Mateo utilizes Instagram Stories heavily and swears on the reach and impact they have when striving to build meaningful relationships with followers.

Additionally, Mateo plans on expanding to other social media platforms such as YouTube where he will be uploading lots of content regarding TacomaBeast. Mateo is confident 2019 will be just as rewarding and fulfilling on his journey to make TacomaBeast the greatest offroad company with the help of his loyal followers.
